Abstract
Obtaining a digital image tagged with corrected image direction information includes capturing and storing a digital image of a scene defined by a field of view of a lifelog camera (10) used to capture the image. A forward-facing direction (28) of a user of the lifelog camera is identified, the forward-facing direction within the field of view of the lifelog camera. A component of the image that contains image data corresponding to a portion of the scene containing the forward-facing direction of the user is also identified. The digital image is then tagged with the identified component.
Claims20
A method of obtaining a digital image tagged with corrected image direction information, the method comprising:
- capturing and storing a digital image of a scene defined by a field of view of a lifelog camera used to capture the image;
- identifying a forward-facing direction of a user of the lifelog camera, the forward-facing direction within the field of view of the lifelog camera;
- identifying a component of the image that contains image data corresponding to a portion of the scene containing the forward-facing direction of the user;
- and
- tagging the digital image with the identified component.
An electronic device comprising:
- a direction sensor;
- a camera module;
- and
- a control circuit configured to:
- capture and store a digital image of a scene defined by a field of view of the camera module used to capture the image;
- identify a forward-facing direction of a user of the camera module, the forward-facing direction within the field of view of the camera module;
- identify a component of the image that contains image data corresponding to a portion of the scene containing the forward-facing direction of the user;
- and
- tag the digital image with the identified component.
