## Abstract

The present invention provides a water inflow prevention device that prevents an inflow of water into an aircraft when the aircraft lands in water through a communication passage allowing the inside and outside of the aircraft to communicate with each other. The water inflow prevention device includes a mesh part provided in the communication passage, through the mesh part a fluid flowing through the communication passage passes.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A water inflow prevention device that prevents an inflow of water into an aircraft when the aircraft lands in water through a communication passage allowing the inside and outside of the aircraft to communicate with each other, the water inflow prevention device comprising:
a mesh part provided in the communication passage, through the mesh part a fluid flowing through the communication passage passes.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 1, wherein an inflow of water into the inside of the aircraft through the communication passage when landing in water is prevented by clogging the mesh part with objects floating in the water.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 1, wherein the communication passage is a flow channel in which a valve element of a pressure adjusting valve for adjusting air pressure in the aircraft is positioned.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 2, wherein the communication passage is a flow channel in which a valve element of a pressure adjusting valve for adjusting air pressure in the aircraft is positioned.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 1, further comprising:
a container that contains particles being able to flow along with water, and that is opened when landing in water.

### Claim 6 (depends on 2)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 2, further comprising:
a container that contains particles being able to flow along with water, and that is opened when landing in water.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 5, wherein the container is positioned on an upstream side of a flow of water, which flows into the communication passage when landing in water on the basis of pressure difference between the inside and around the communication passage, with respect to the mesh part.

### Claim 8 (depends on 5)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 5, wherein at least a part of the container has a characteristic of dissolving in water, and the container is configured to be opened by action of the characteristic.

### Claim 9 (depends on 5)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 5, wherein at least a part of the container has a characteristic of being broken by water pressure, and the container is configured to be opened by action of the characteristic.

### Claim 10 (depends on 5)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 5, wherein two or more kinds of particles with different specific gravity with respect to water are used for the particles.

### Claim 11 (depends on 5)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 5, wherein the particles are made of a material that expands when soaked in water.

### Claim 12 (depends on 5)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 5, wherein the particles are made of a high water-absorbing polymer material.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 12, wherein the high water-absorbing polymer material is a sodium polyacrylic polymer.

### Claim 14 (depends on 5)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 5, wherein the particles are made of a resin material.

### Claim 15 (depends on 5)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 5, further comprising:
another mesh part on a downstream side of the water, which flows into the communication passage when landing in water on the basis of pressure difference between the inside and around the communication passage, with respect to the former mesh part,
wherein the particles are supplied into a space defined between the former mesh part and the other mesh part from the container when landing in water.

### Claim 16 (depends on 1)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 1, wherein the mesh part is made of a material that expands when soaked in water.

### Claim 17 (depends on 1)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 1, wherein the mesh part is a wire mesh, and the wire mesh is formed of thin metallic wire in a mesh-like shape.

### Claim 18 (depends on 1)

The water inflow prevention device according to claim 1, wherein the mesh part is provided so as to intersect an axis line of the communication passage.

### Claim 19 (depends on 1)

A pressure adjusting valve comprising the water inflow prevention device according to claim 1.

### Claim 20 (depends on 19)

An aircraft comprising the pressure adjusting valve according to claim 19.
