Abstract
A cassette for dispensing bags from an elongated tubing comprising an annular receptacle accommodating a length of tubing in an accumulated condition. An annular opening at an upper end of the annular receptacle is for dispensing the tubing. The annular receptacle defines a central opening through which a knotted end of the tubing passes to form a bag supported by the annular receptacle with disposable objects passing through the circular central opening to be received in the bag, and a clearance only at a bottom of the central opening.
Claims28
A diaper pail, comprising:
- (a) a storage area for holding soiled diapers;
- (b) an opening for introducing soiled diapers in the storage area;
- (c) a holder for removably receiving a cassette proximal the opening;
- (d) a cassette loaded in the holder, the cassette configured for dispensing an elongated tube in which soiled diapers are enclosed when introduced in the storage area, the cassette including an annular receptacle for storing the elongated tube in a folded condition, the annular receptacle defining a central opening and having a top and a bottom, the cassette dispensing the elongated tube from the top of the of the annular receptacle through the central opening;
- (e) the cassette being configured to:
- (1) create an interference with a component of the diaper pail to prevent proper operation of the diaper pail when the annular receptacle is loaded in the holder upside down, with the top of the annular receptacle facing down;
- (2) avoid the interference when the annular receptacle is loaded in the holder in the correct orientation with the top facing up.
An apparatus for packaging soiled diapers within an elongated tube of flexible plastic material, comprising:
- (d) a storage area for receiving soiled diapers;
- (e) an entrance for introducing soiled diapers in the storage area;
- (f) a holder configured for releasably receiving a cassette for dispensing the tube material, the cassette having a central opening, the cassette dispensing the tube material from a top thereof through the central opening, the cassette including a recessed area on a lower portion thereof, the holder being proximal the entrance and including:
- (1) a generally upwardly extending wall;
- (2) a bottom wall;
- (3) a projecting member upwardly extending above the bottom wall, the projecting member configured to engage the recessed area of the cassette when the cassette is fully seated in the holder and the cassette engages the bottom wall of the holder.
