Abstract
Table saws and features for table saws are disclosed. Some of the disclosed features are particularly relevant to portable table saws such as jobsite and bench-top table saws. Disclosed features include, but are not limited to, extendable rails, mechanisms to lock rails in position, drawers, compartments and components to store table saw accessories, switch boxes, dust collection systems, table saw housings, tables, and handles.

A saw comprising:
- a main table having a side;
- a blade configured to cut a work piece on the main table;
- a motor to move the blade;
- an extension table associated with the main table and configured to move from a retracted position adjacent the side of the main table to an extended position spaced apart from the side of the main table;
- and
- a storage compartment positioned below and to the side of the main table, where the extension table covers at least a portion of the storage compartment when the extension table is in its retracted position and provides access to the storage compartment when the extension table is in its extended position.

- a table;
- a blade configured to cut a work piece on the table;
- a motor to move the blade;

- a storage compartment configured to store accessories and/or components for the saw, where the storage compartment includes storage regions configured to hold predetermined items from moving when the storage compartment and saw are tilted from a position where the table is generally horizontal relative to the ground to a position where the table is generally perpendicular to the ground.
