Adaptive event storage in implantable device

A system, comprising:

• a physiological data monitor, configured to monitor one or more physiological data parameters;
• a processor, coupled to the physiological data monitor, the processor configured to,
• detect an episode predictor condition using a first physiological data parameter monitored by the physiological data monitor, wherein the episode predictor condition is predictive of a possible future pathological episode;
• detect an episode beginning condition using a second physiological data parameter monitored by the physiological data monitor, wherein the episode beginning condition is indicative of beginning of a present pathological episode;
• and
• determine that the episode predictor condition is associated with the present pathological episode.

A system, comprising:

• a physiological data monitor, configured to monitor one or more physiological data parameters;
• a processor, coupled to the physiological data monitor, the processor configured to,
• detect an episode predictor condition using a first physiological data parameter monitored by the physiological data monitor, wherein the episode predictor condition is predictive of a possible future pathological episode;
• detect an episode beginning condition using a second physiological data parameter monitored by the physiological data monitor, wherein the episode beginning condition is indicative of beginning of a present pathological episode;
• and
• determine that the episode predictor condition is associated with the present pathological episode, wherein detecting the episode predictor condition includes detecting that the first physiological data parameter exceeds an episode predictor condition threshold but stays below an episode beginning condition threshold.

A method, comprising:

• monitoring first physiological data using a physiological monitor;
• using the monitored first physiological data, detecting an episode predictor condition predictive of a possible future pathological episode;
• responding to detecting the episode predictor condition by collecting second physiological data associated with the detecting of the episode predictor condition;
• monitoring third physiological data using the physiological monitor;
• using the monitored third physiological data, detecting an episode beginning condition indicative of a beginning of a present pathological episode;
• responding to detecting the episode beginning condition by collecting fourth physiological data associated with the detecting of the episode beginning condition;
• and
• determining that the episode predictor condition is associated with the present pathological episode.
