Abstract
The present invention is directed to compositions including the cytokines IL-18 and IL-22 or biologically active fragments or variants thereof. In some embodiments, the compositions further include a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The compositions can further include other interleukins such as IL-1β, and IL 1β can be used as a combination therapy with either IL-18 or IL-22 or biologically active fragments or variants thereof.

A composition comprising interleukin-18 (IL-18) or a biologically active fragment or variant thereof, interleukin 22 (IL-22) or a biologically active fragment or variant thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
A composition comprising a nucleic acid that encodes interleukin-18 (IL-18) or a biologically active fragment or variant thereof, and a nucleic acid that encodes interleukin 22 (IL-22) or a biologically active fragment or variant thereof.
An isolated cell comprising a nucleic acid sequence encoding IL-18 or a biologically active fragment or variant thereof and a nucleic acid sequence encoding IL-22 or a biologically active fragment or variant thereof.
