Abstract
According to the invention there is provided pemirolast, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, for use in the therapeutic treatment of asthma, such as an acute asthma attack. Suitable lower doses of pemirolast are least about 110 mg per day.

A method for the therapeutic treatment of asthma, which method comprises the administration of pemirolast, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a patient in need of such treatment.
A method for the treatment of asthma, which method comprises the administration of pemirolast, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof at a dose of at least about 110 mg per day (calculated as the free acid) to a patient in need of such treatment.

A method of using pemirolast as a bronchodilator, which method comprises the administration of pemirolast, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a patient.
