Abstract
The described invention provides a gel formulation of a composition comprising at least one insecticide in an amount effective to control an insect larval population, an apparatus for autodissmenination of an insecticide for insect management containing (1) a reservoir (2) a transfer plate and cover, and (3) a mesh component, a method and a system for autodissemination for effectively controlling an insect larval population. Also disclosed is an improvided biphasic autodissemination station for control of undesirable insect populations.
Claims18
An autodisseminated gel formulation for autodissemination for management of insect populations, the gel formulation of the composition comprising:
- (1) an effective amount of at least one active ingredient;
- (2) at least one carrier;
- (3) at least one sticking agent;
- and
- (4) at least one emulsifying agent.
An apparatus for autodissemination, the apparatus comprising:
- (1) a reservoir having a hollow center for insertion of a wide mouth unidirectional funnel, said mouth being wide enough to permit leaf passage, said reservoir having a having (2) a mesh cover;
- (3) a transfer plate and an optional cover, said transfer plate having insect growth regulator affixed thereto in a form suitable for transfer to any passing insect.
