Reducing provider costs related to e911 service

A method, comprising:

• generating, by a system comprising a processor, an enhanced 911 address identifier based on a street address included in a street address validation request;
• as a function of the enhanced 911 address identifier, determining, by the system, that the street address has an entry representing the street address associated with a user identity stored by a data storage device associated with the system;
• as a function of determining that the street address has the entry in the data storage device, updating, by the system, an expiration date associated with the street address;
• and
• returning, by the system, updated data representing the expiration date and the enhanced 911 address identifier.

A machine-readable storage medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:

• preventing establishment of a communication to a network device associated with a multicarrier wireless network;
• generating an enhanced 911 address identifier as a function of input representing a street address for a current location associated with a user identity;
• determining, based on the enhanced 911 address identifier, an expiration date associated with the street address;
• designating the street address as an emergency contact location for the user identity in response to determining that the expiration date has not lapsed due to passage of time;
• and
• permitting the establishment of the communication to the network device associated with the multicarrier wireless network.
