Abstract
A method of controlling a communication mode of a device in a wireless communication network comprises determining a group communication performance for a group communication mode of the device, determining a single-link communication performance for a single-link communication mode of the device, comparing the group communication performance with the single-link communication performance, and controlling the device to operate in the group communication mode or the single-link communication mode based on the comparison.

A method of controlling a communication mode of a device in a wireless communication network, comprising:
- determining a group communication performance for a group communication mode of the device;
- determining a single-link communication performance for a single-link communication mode of the device;
- comparing the group communication performance with the single-link communication performance;
- and
- controlling the device to operate in the group communication mode or the single-link communication mode based on the comparison.
An apparatus configured to control a communication mode of a device in a wireless communication network, comprising:
- a first performance determination module configured to determine a group communication performance for a group communication mode of the device;
- a second performance determination module configured to determine a single-link communication performance for a single-link communication mode of the device;
- a comparison module configured to compare the group communication performance with the single-link communication performance;
- and
- a control module configured to control the device to operate in the group communication mode or the single-link communication mode based on the comparison.
A computer readable medium storing instructions for performing a method of controlling a communication mode of a device in a wireless communication network, wherein the method comprises:
- determining a group communication performance for a group communication mode of the device;
- determining a single-link communication performance for a single-link communication mode of the device;
- comparing the group communication performance with the single-link communication performance;
- and
- controlling the device to operate in the group communication mode or the single-link communication mode based on the comparison.
