Method and System for Broadband Near-Field Communication Utilizing Full Spectrum Capture (FSC) Supporting Screen and Application Sharing

A method, comprising:

• establishing, in a first wireless communication device, a first ad-hoc communication link with a second wireless communication device within operating range, wherein the establishing the ad-hoc communication link comprises the first communication device:
• determining, based on strength of wireless broadband signals received by the first wireless communication device from the second wireless communication device, a distance between the first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device;
• exchanging security information with the second wireless communication device if the determined distance between the first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device is above a first threshold;
• and
• bypassing an exchange of the security information if the determined distance between the first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device is below the first threshold;
• and
• sharing, by the first wireless communication device using wireless broadband signals communicated via the first ad-hoc communication link, application data with the second wireless communication device.

A system, comprising:

• one or more circuits for use in a first wireless communication device, the one or more circuits being operable to:
• establish a first ad-hoc communication link with a second wireless communication device within operating range, wherein the establishment of the first ad-hoc communication link comprises:
• determination, based on strength of wireless broadband signals received by the first wireless communication device from the second wireless communication device, of a distance between the first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device;
• exchange of security information if the determined distance between the first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device is above a first threshold;
• and
• bypass of an exchange of the security information if the determined distance between the first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device is below the first threshold;
• and
• share, using wireless broadband signals communicated via the first ad-hoc communication link, application data with the second wireless communication device.
