A system, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory device, the memory device storing instructions, the instructions when executed causing the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- receiving a request for content sent from a client device;
- determining a first communications path via a public network in response to the request for content specifying a video on demand;
- determining a second communications path via a private cellular network in response to the request for content specifying live content;
- sending the request for content to a content server providing the video on demand via the public network;
- and
- sending the request for content to a different content server providing the live content via the private cellular network.

A method, comprising:
- receiving, by a server, a request for content sent from a client device;
- determining, by the server, a first communications path via a public network in response to the request for content specifying a video on demand;
- determining, by the server, a second communications path via a private cellular network in response to the request for content specifying live content;
- sending, by the server, the request for content to a content server providing the video on demand via the public network;
- and
- sending, by the server, the request for content to a different content server providing the live content via the private cellular network.

A memory device storing processor-executable instructions that when executed cause a processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- receiving a request for content sent from a client device;
- determining a first communications path via a public network in response to the request for content specifying a video on demand;
- determining a second communications path via a private cellular network in response to the request for content specifying live content;
- sending the request for content to a content server providing the video on demand via the public network;
