Abstract
Wireless pairing is automatically performed based on purchase. By providing a unique identifier of a cellular customer, a wireless device may be automatically paired to a residential wireless network. A central database, for example, may store networking credentials associated with residential wireless networks. When the cellular customer purchases the wireless device, a server may query the central database for a cellular telephone number associated with the cellular customer. The server may thus retrieve the networking credentials that are associated with the cellular telephone number.

A system, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory device, the memory device storing instructions, the instructions when executed causing the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- receiving packets of data comprising an identifier associated with a device participating in an electronic purchase transaction of a wireless device;
- querying an electronic database for the identifier associated with the device participating in the electronic purchase transaction, the electronic database associating identifiers to security credentials associated with wireless local area networks;
- retrieving a service set identifier from the electronic database, the service set identifier having an electronic database association with the identifier, the service set identifier associated with a wireless local area network;
- retrieving a network password from the electronic database, the network password having another electronic database association with the identifier associated with the device;
- and
- sending the service set identifier and the network password to of an access device to the wireless local area network, the service set identifier and the network password authorizing a pairing of the wireless device with the wireless local area network.

A method, comprising:
- receiving, by a server, packets of data describing a cellular identifier associated with an electronic purchase transaction associated with a wireless device;
- querying, by the server, an electronic database for the cellular identifier, the electronic database associating cellular identifiers to security credentials associated with wireless local area networks;
- retrieving, by the server, a service set identifier from the electronic database, the service set identifier having an electronic database association with the cellular identifier;
- retrieving, by the server, a network password from the electronic database, the network password having another electronic database association with the cellular identifier;
- retrieving, by the server, a network address from the electronic database, the network address electronically associated with the cellular identifier;
- and
- sending, by the server, a message to a network access device, the network access device associated with the network address retrieved from the electronic database, the message authorizing a pairing of the wireless device to a wireless local area network having the service set identifier and the network password as security credentials.

- receiving packets of data identifying a cellular telephone number associated with a cellular device, the cellular device associated with an electronic purchase of a wireless device;

- sending the service set identifier and the network password to the access device associated with the network address, the service set identifier and the network password authorizing a pairing of the wireless device to the residential wireless local area network.
