Abstract
A first instance of a digital watermark may be embedded into an image. The first instance may encode information. A second instance of the digital watermark may be embedded into the image. The second instance may encode the information of the first instance. The second instance may be a sized differently or may be larger than the first instance.
Claims15
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium including executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
- embed a first instance of a digital watermark into the image, the first instance encoding information;
- and
- embed a second instance of the digital watermark into the image, the second instance encoding at least some of the information of the first instance, the second instance being sized differently than the first instance.
A computer implemented method of processing an image, the computer implemented method comprising:
- determining properties of a first instance and a second instance of a digital watermark, the first instance encoding information, the second instance encoding the information of the first instance, the second instance being larger than the first instance;
- and embedding, into the image, the first instance and the second instance.
An imaging system comprising:
- a processor to:
- embed, into the image, a first instance of a digital watermark, the first instance encoding information;
- and
- embed, into the image, a second instance of the digital watermark that is sized differently than the first instance, the second instance encoding the information of the first instance, the second instance being sized relative to the first instance to be detectable by an image capture device at a greater capture distance from the image than the first instance.
