System and Method for Identifying Relevant Information for an Enterprise

A system, that includes a computer-readable structured storage mechanism effective to store and retrieve a model of an enterprise encoded in a non-transitory computer readable medium, the system comprising:

• the structured storage mechanism storing the model of the enterprise effective to incorporate representations of a majority of data and content used in the enterprise, the model stored as a plurality of processes associated with the enterprise, each process expressed as a plurality of nodes, each node in said plurality of nodes having associated information, said plurality of nodes linked together in a relevance grid forming a node cluster encoded with executable instructions between the values contained in the nodes;
• a device configured to receive incoming content and data;
• a processor, that includes a relevance engine configured to calculate the relevance of the incoming content and data relative to one or more of the nodes in a cluster, the processor assigning a relevance criteria to that incoming content and data based on relevance;
• the processor adding the incoming content and data to the structured storage mechanism in the form of a new node value when the relevance criteria exceeds a predetermined business rule;
• and
• the processor propagating new node values from one node to an adjacent node.

A method, applied to a computer-readable structured storage mechanism effective to store and retrieve a model of an enterprise encoded in a non-transitory computer readable medium, comprising the steps of:

• authoring and configuring a model of the enterprise as a plurality of processes associated with the enterprise able to incorporate representations of most of the data and content in the enterprise, each process expressed as a plurality of nodes, each node in said plurality of nodes having associated information, said plurality of nodes linked together in a relevance grid forming a node cluster encoded with executable instructions between the values contained in the nodes;
• configuring a relevance engine to calculate the relevance of the incoming content and data relative to one or more of the nodes in a cluster, the processor assigning a relevance criteria to that incoming content and data based on relevance;
• configuring a processor to add the incoming content and data to the structured storage mechanism in the form of a new node value when the relevance criteria exceeds a predetermined business rule;
• and
• propagating via the processor new node values from one node to an adjacent node.
