Abstract
Provided is a release film, and more specifically, an in-line coating release film used for electronic materials for a multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC), a polarizing plate protection, an optically clear adhesive (OCA), etc.
Claims16
A release film comprising:
- a polyester base film including particles satisfying Equations 1 to 3 below, and
- a release coating layer formed on one surface or both surfaces of the base film and having a release force variation satisfying Equation 4 below and a release force deviation satisfying Equation 5 below:
- 0.15≦Pa≦0.6 (Equation 1)
- 0.6≦Dmax≦2.5 (Equation 2)
- 0.1≦Pa/Dmax≦0.4 (Equation 3)
- (in Equations 1 to 3, Pa is an average particle diameter (μm) of the particle, and Dmax is the maximum particle diameter (μm) of the particle),
- |Rf−Ri|≦25 (Equation 4)
- (in Equation 4, Ri is a release force measured after leaving the release film at 55° C. for 24 hours, and Rf is a release force measured after leaving the release film at 55° C. for 240 hours), and
- |Rf-max−Rf-min|≦2 (Equation 5)
- (in Equation 5, Rf-max is the maximum value of five release force values each measured after leaving the release film at 55° C. for 240 hours, and Rf-min is the minimum value of five release force values each measured after leaving the release film at 55° C. for 240 hours).

A method for manufacturing a release film comprising:
- a) melt-extruding a polyester resin including particles satisfying Equations 1 to 3 below to be manufactured into a sheet:
- 0.15≦Pa≦0.6 (Equation 1)
- 0.6≦Dmax≦2.5 (Equation 2)
- 0.1≦Pa/Dmax≦0.4 (Equation 3)
- (in Equations 1 to 3, Pa is an average particle diameter (μm) of the particle, and Dmax is the maximum particle diameter (μm) of the particle),
- b) stretching the sheet three (3) to five (5) times at 80° C. to 150° C. in a longitudinal direction;
- c) applying a release coating composition including a compound represented by Chemical Formula 1 below and a compound represented by Chemical Formula 2 below, on one surface or both surfaces of the uniaxially stretched polyester base film in the longitudinal direction, by an in-line coating method;
- d) drying and pre-heating the film onto which the release coating composition is applied at 130° C. to 150° C., and stretching the film three (3) to four (4) times in a transverse direction, to manufacture the release film in which a release coating layer is formed;
- and
- e) performing a heat treatment,
- (in Chemical Formula 1, n is 20 to 3000, m is 1 to 500, and n+m is 21 to 3000), and
- (in Chemical Formula 2, a is 1 to 150, b is 3 to 300, and a+b is 5 to 300).
