Abstract
The present invention provides for prevention and/or treatment of neurological or neuropsychiatric disorders involving abnormal D1-D2 dopamine receptor coupling and/or activation. Methods and agents are provided for modulating dopamine receptor function arising from D1-D2 coupling and/or activation. Agents of the present invention include fragments of D2 receptor or D1 receptor that can disrupt D1-D2 coupling.

-20. (canceled)
A nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide of between about 3 and about 140 amino acids comprising an amino acid sequence that is between about 80% and about 100% identical to a sequence of D2IL3-29 (SEQ ID NO:1), D2LIL3-29-2 (SEQ ID NO:2), D2IL3-L (SEQ ID NO:3), or D1CT (SEQ ID NO:4).
A nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide of up to 140 amino acids comprising an amino acid sequence that is at least about 80% identical to a sequence selected from the group consisting of D2IL3-29 (SEQ ID NO:
- 1), D2LIL3-29-2 (SEQ ID NO:2), and D2IL3-L (SEQ ID NO:3), and comprising D2LIL3-29-2 (SEQ ID NO:2).
A nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide of more than 140 amino acids comprising an amino acid sequence that is at least about 80% identical to a sequence selected from the group consisting of D2IL3-29 (SEQ ID NO:
- 1), D2LIL3-29-2 (SEQ ID NO:2), and D2IL3-L (SEQ ID NO:3), and comprising D2LIL3-29-2 (SEQ ID NO:2) or a fragment thereof.
