Abstract
A retractable cover system includes a frame that provides an opening and a drive system. A flexible cover is configured to slide relative to the frame between first and second positions within the opening in response to actuation of the drive system. Multiple spaced apart bows are configured to slide relative to the frame and relative to the flexible cover.

A retractable cover system comprising:
- a frame that provides an opening;
- a drive system;
- a flexible cover configured to slide relative to the frame between first and second positions within the opening in response to actuation of the drive system;
- and
- multiple spaced apart bows configured to slide relative to the frame and relative to the flexible cover.

A method of operating a soft tonneau cover comprising the steps of:
- electrically operating a motor;
- rotationally driving a main roller to wind or unwind a flexible cover with respect to the main roller;
- sliding the flexible cover relative to frame;
- and
- sliding bows beneath the flexible cover relative to the frame and the flexible cover.
