Abstract
A surgical instrument includes an actuator. A member is connected with the actuator and includes a mating part releasably engageable with a tissue engaging element such that the member is interchangeable with a plurality of alternate tissue engaging elements. Systems, implants and methods are described.

A surgical instrument comprising:
- an actuator;
- and
- a member connected with the actuator and including a mating part releasably engageable with a tissue engaging element such that the member is interchangeable with a plurality of alternate tissue engaging elements.
A surgical instrument comprising:
- a motorized actuator;
- a quick release member engageable with the actuator and including a mating part releasably engageable with a tissue engaging element such that the member is interchangeable with a plurality of alternate tissue engaging elements that include one or more of a wire brush, a drum rasp, a rotating cutter and a reamer;
- and
- a sleeve connected with the member and configured for disposal of the tissue engaging element.

A surgical system comprising:
- a surgical instrument including an actuator and a member connected with the actuator, the member including a mating part releasably engageable with a tissue engaging element and a retractable sleeve configured for disposal of the tissue engaging element;
- and
- a plurality of alternate tissue engaging elements such that the member is interchangeable with the plurality of tissue engaging elements.
