• The lancing device of claim 2 further comprises a removable seal.

• The lancing device of claim 6 where the seal covers the cleaning swab.

• The lancing device of claim 7 where the seal covers the lancet.

• The lancing device of claim 2 where cleaning swab contains an antiseptic solution.

• The lancing device of claim 9 where the antiseptic solution comprises an alcohol.

• The lancing device of claim 2 further comprises a lancet housing located adjacent to the outwardly facing edge of the lancing device, where the lancet and cleaning swab are within the housing.

• The lancing device of claim 11 where lancing housing further comprises a recess and the cleaning swab is positioned in the recess.

• The lancing device of claim 11 where the lancet housing further comprises a removable seal that holds the lancet in a pre-operational position and covers the cleaning swab and maintains sterility of the lancet.

• The lancing device of claim 13 where the seal is secured to an outwardly facing edge of the lancing housing by a heat seal connection or an adhesive.

• The lancing device of claim 13 where the seal exerts a bending force on the lancet to maintain the lancet in the pre-operational position.

• The lancing device of claim 2 further comprising a blood collection part and an analyte measuring part.
