Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of a degenerative disease of the nervous system in a patient, comprising administering to said patient an effective quantity of 3β-methoxy-pregna-5-ene-20-one (3β-methoxy-PREG) or derivatives thereof.

A method for the treatment of a degenerative disease of the nervous system in a patient in need thereof, comprising administering to said patient an effective quantity of a molecule of formula I:
