## Abstract

The invention comprises systems and methods for implementation of database technology using ‘Distributed logical unit repositories’ (DLUR). This is a new type of database which contains information and database structure related to a specific logical unit such as a customer, employee or the like. The information comprises data, database structure, functions, and any other data necessary to form a complete model of the information concerning the logical unit. Queries concerning entities can then be answered immediately by accessing this database, obviating the step of consulting a number of databases in parallel and greatly reducing memory and time required.

## Claims

### Claim 1

In an SQL database, a system for storing data comprising:
a. a computing device having processing means, storage means, and communications means;
b. a database containing a plurality of entries, each entry comprising an ID portion and a data portion, said data portion containing all information pertaining to a given logical unit including data, database structures, methods, functions, relations, constraints, links, sequences, and procedures;
wherein data and structure concerning logical units spanning a plurality of databases is stored in a database.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1 wherein said logical units are selected from the group consisting of: customers, employees, borrowers, lenders, persons, departments, teams, corporations, phone lines, and accounts.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1 further providing means for compressing said data portion.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3 wherein said compressed data portion is stored in binary form.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The method of claim 4 wherein said compressed data portion is stored in encrypted form.

### Claim 6 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3 wherein said means for compressing said data portion achieves about a 1:10 compression ratio or better.

### Claim 7

A method for storing data concerning a logical unit comprising steps of:
a. assembling structure and data from extant databases concerning said logical unit;
b. forming a representation of said data and structure;
c. storing said representation in a database;
wherein information concerning a given is stored by logical unit.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The method of claim 7 wherein said representation is compressed.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8 wherein said compressed representation is stored in binary form.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8 wherein said compressed data is further encrypted.

### Claim 11 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8 wherein said step of compressing said data achieves about a 1:10 compression ratio or better.

### Claim 12

A method for storing data concerning a logical unit in an SQL database comprising steps of:
a. gathering structure and data from extant databases concerning said logical unit;
b. forming a representation of said data and structure;
c. encrypting said stored representation;
d. storing said encrypted compressed representation in a database;
wherein information concerning a given is stored by logical unit in encrypted format.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12 further compressing said representation.

### Claim 14 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12 wherein said entities are selected from the group consisting of: customers, employees, borrowers, lenders, persons, departments, teams, corporations, phone lines, and accounts.

### Claim 15 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12 wherein said step of gathering structure and data comprises querying said databases selecting said entities.

### Claim 16 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12 wherein said step of storing said data is implemented using memory selected from the group consisting of: local memory; remote memory; disk storage; and RAM.

### Claim 17 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12 wherein said data is stored in binary form.

### Claim 18 (depends on 123)

The method of claim 123 wherein said step of compressing said data achieves about a 1:10 compression ratio or better.
