Systems, methods, and devices for extending range of wireless networks

A method for extending range of a wireless network, the method comprising:

• appending, by a network device, one or more codebits or coded symbols to one or more original codebits or coded symbols;
• and
• sending, by the network device, the original codebits or coded symbols and the appended codebits or coded symbols to an interleaver or a constellation mapper for transmission.

A non-transitory computer readable storage device including instructions stored thereon, which when executed by one or more processor(s) of a network device, cause the network device to perform operations of:

• appending, by a network device, one or more codebits or coded symbols to one or more original codebits or coded symbols;
• and
• sending, by the network device, the original codebits or coded symbols and the appended codebits or coded symbols to an interleaver or a constellation mapper for transmission.

A method for extending range of a wireless network, the method comprising:

• dividing, by a network device, a header into a plurality of segments;
• and
• encoding, by the network device, each of the plurality of segments.

A method for extending range of a wireless network, the method comprising:

• inserting, by a network device, one or more termination bits at the end of each segment of a header;
• and
• encoding, by the network device, the modified segment(s) using a convolutional code.
