Crimping Pliers

Crimping pliers for crimping a workpiece comprising

• a) two drive elements,
• b) a pliers head,
• c) two actuation elements located at the pliers head, the actuation elements actuating dies between which the workpiece can be crimped, and
• d) a toggle lever drive interposed between the drive elements and the actuation elements,
• da) wherein the toggle lever drive comprises two toggle levers,
• db) wherein the toggle levers build a toggle lever angle which changes over a working stroke,
• e) wherein one toggle lever is built by a roller which
• ea) is mounted to a first one of the drive elements for being pivoted around a roller axis and
• eb) rolls along a curved track, said curved track being fixedly connected to the second drive element,
• f) a forced locking unit comprising a toothed latching lever, said toothed latching lever being mounted to the first drive element with a pivoting degree of freedom with respect to both
• fa) the first drive element and
• fb) the roller,
• g) wherein a first lever part of the toothed latching lever is coupled by a sliding guide with the second drive element and
• h) a second lever part of the toothed latching lever forms a toothing for latching of the forced locking unit.
