Abstract
Technology is generally disclosed for augmented-reality presentations. In some embodiments, the technology can receive an indication of a user's sensitivity to an aspect of a presentation, receive general content relating to the presentation, receive overlay content relating to the presentation, combine the received general content and the received overlay content to create the presentation, render the presentation. The overlay content may respond to the user's sensitivity.
Claims20
A method performed by a computing system including a processor and a memory device, comprising:
- receiving general content related to a presentation;
- obtaining an orientation of a subject in the presentation relative to an augmented reality device, wherein the obtained orientation of the subject is independent of an orientation of the augmented reality device;
- identifying material in the general content related to the subject in the presentation;
- obtaining alternate content corresponding to the identified material in the general content and to the orientation of the subject relative to the augmented reality device;
- altering the identified material based on the obtained alternate content;
- manipulating the general content based on the altered identified material;
- and
- generating an augmented reality presentation corresponding to the presentation, wherein the augmented reality presentation includes the manipulated general content.
An augmented reality device, comprising:
- a communications device;
- and
- a processor to:
- receive general content,
- detect an orientation of a subject relative to the augmented reality device, wherein the detected orientation of the subject is independent of an orientation of the augmented reality device;
- identify material in the general content related to the subject;
- obtain alternate content corresponding to the identified material in the general content;
- transform the obtained alternate content to correspond to the orientation of the subject relative to the augmented reality device, based on the detected orientation of the subject;
- alter the identified material based on the transformed alternate content;
- manipulate the general content based on the altered identified material;
- generate an augmented reality presentation, wherein the augmented reality presentation includes the manipulated general content;
- and
- display the augmented reality presentation.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions executable by a computing device that, if executed by the computing device, cause the computing device to perform operations comprising:
- receiving general content,
- obtaining an orientation of a subject relative to an augmented reality device, wherein the detected orientation of the subject is independent of an orientation of the augmented reality device;
- identifying material in the general content related to the subject;
- obtaining alternate content corresponding to the identified material in the general content;
- transforming the obtained alternate content to correspond to the orientation of the subject relative to the augmented reality device, based on the obtained orientation of the subject;
- altering the identified material based on the transformed alternate content;
- manipulating the general content based on the altered identified material;
- and
- generating an augmented reality presentation, wherein the augmented reality presentation includes the manipulated general content.
