Abstract
An electronic device includes an external display layer, a shell disposed opposite the external display layer, a display module component enclosed by the external display layer and the shell, and an internal support that structurally supports the display module component and the external display layer. The internal support includes a plate disposed between the external display layer and the shell.

- an external display layer;
- a shell disposed opposite the external display layer;
- a display module component enclosed by the external display layer and the shell;
- and
- an internal support that structurally supports the display module component and the external display layer, the internal support comprising a plate disposed between the external display layer and the shell.

- a plurality of display module layers enclosed by the external display layer and the shell, wherein each pair of adjacent display module layers of the plurality of display module layers lacks an air gap between the respective pair of adjacent display module layers;

- an internal support to which the display module is secured, the internal support comprising a plate disposed between the external display layer and the shell, the plate extending over an entire lateral extent of the plurality of display module layers.
