Oil filter

An oil filtration system for a Hydraulically actuated Electronically controlled Unit Injector (HEUI) pump, the oil filtration system, comprising:

• an oil reservoir;
• a first conduit assembly having a first end and a second end, the first conduit assembly being in fluid communication with the oil reservoir at the first end, and the first conduit assembly being in fluid communication with the HEUI pump at the second end, the first conduit assembly including,
• a first pump coupled to the first conduit assembly, the first pump disposed downstream of the oil reservoir, wherein the first pump is adapted to pump oil from the oil reservoir to the first conduit assembly;
• a primary filter coupled to the first conduit assembly, the primary filter disposed downstream of the first pump;
• a bypass conduit disposed in parallel configuration with the primary filter, the bypass conduit adapted to provide a bypass path for flow of oil therethrough, thereby preventing flow of oil through the primary filter;
• and
• a secondary filter coupled downstream to both the first conduit assembly and the bypass conduit;
• wherein the secondary filter is disposed upstream of the HEUI pump.
