Abstract
In the preferred embodiment, the present invention relates to a dissolvable, adhesive construction comprising a host material; a dissolvable facestock with an upper surface and a lower surface; an adhesive layer with an upper surface and a lower surface wherein the upper surface of the adhesive layer is in contact with the lower surface of facestock; and a dissolving material formulated to dissolve the facestock material wherein the facestock material disintegrates or disperses when it comes into contact with the dissolving material.
Claims20
A dissolvable, adhesive construction comprising:
- a. a host material;
- b. a dissolvable facestock with an upper surface and a lower surface;
- c. an adhesive layer with an upper surface and a lower surface wherein the upper surface of the adhesive layer is in contact with the lower surface of facestock;
- and
- d. a dissolving material formulated to dissolve the facestock material wherein the facestock material disintegrates or disperses when it comes into contact with the dissolving material.
A method for applying a dissolvable, adhesive construction comprising:
- a. Applying a dissolvable, adhesive construction to a host material wherein the dissolvable, adhesive construction comprises:
- i. a dissolvable facestock with an upper surface and a lower surface;
- ii. an adhesive layer with an upper surface and a lower surface wherein the upper surface of the adhesive layer is in contact with the lower surface of facestock;
- and
- iii. a dissolving material formulated to dissolve the facestock material wherein the facestock material disintegrates or disperses when it comes into contact with the dissolving material.
- b. Removing the dissolvable, adhesive construction from the host material without peeling off the dissolvable, adhesive construction.
A kit for screen-printing processing comprising:
- a. a screen printing frame;
- b. an imaged stencil coating on a fabric mesh;
- c. a dissolvable, adhesive construction comprising:
- i. a dissolvable facestock with an upper surface and a lower surface formulated such that the dissolvable facestock can be removed from the screen printing frame without handling the dissolvable facestock;
- ii. an adhesive layer with an upper surface and a lower surface wherein the upper surface of the adhesive layer is in contact with the lower surface of facestock and protects the screen printing frame and the imaged stenciled mesh from leaks;
- and
- iii. dissolving material formulated to dissolve the facestock material, adhesive layer and imagable stencil coating wherein the facestock material disintegrates or disperses when it comes into contact with the dissolving material.
