Abstract
A pin box includes a frame, a swing arm pivotally connected to the frame, and a pivot plate pivotally connected to the swing arm. An air spring disposed between the frame and swing arm may be selectively compressed and decompressed. A dampener connected between the swing arm and the frame dampens movement of the swing arm with respect to the frame. A rubber spring disposed between the pivot plate and the swing arm is selectively compressible there between when the pivot plate pivots with respect to the swing arm.

A pin box comprising:
- a frame having a first end a second end and an intermediate portion;
- a swing arm having a first end and a second end, said swing arm pivotally connected to said frame;
- a dampener connected between said frame and said swing arm;
- a pivot plate pivotally connected to said swing arm;
- an air spring disposed between said frame and said swing arm;
- and
- a rubber spring disposed between said pivot plate and said swing arm.
A pin box comprising:
- a frame having a first end a second end and a lower intermediate portion;
- a swing arm having a first end and a second end, said first end of said swing arm pivotally connected to said lower intermediate portion of said frame;
- a dampener connected between said second end of said frame and said second end of said swing arm;
- a pivot plate pivotally connected to said swing arm;
- an air spring disposed between said frame and said swing arm;
- a rubber spring disposed between said pivot plate and said swing arm;
- and
- a king pin extending from said pivot plate.
A pin box comprising:
- a frame having a first end a second end and an intermediate portion;
- a swing arm having a first end and a second end, said swing arm pivotally connected to said frame;
- a pivot plate pivotally connected to said swing arm;
- a first spring disposed between said frame and said swing arm;
- and
- a second spring disposed between said pivot plate and said swing arm.
