Abstract
A driver assistance system and a method for storing additional information for a road map for a driver assistance system are provided, the supplementary information concerning location- and/or time-specific compliance with traffic rules being stored. The supplementary information is taken into account by the driver assistance system.

A driver assistance system for a vehicle, comprising:
- an arrangement for providing a road map;
- an arrangement for providing at least one item of supplementary information concerning location- and/or time-specific compliance with traffic rules;
- and
- an arrangement for accessing the road map and the supplementary information in order to assist a driver in steering the vehicle.
A method for assisting a driver in steering a vehicle, comprising:
- at least one of outputting information to the driver and influencing a control of the vehicle as a function of a driving situation and as a function of information from a road map and as a function of at least one item of supplementary information concerning location- and/or time-specific compliance with traffic rules.
A method for storing additional information for a road map for a driver assistance system, wherein supplementary information is stored concerning location- and/or time-specific compliance with traffic rules.
A system for supplying supplementary information for a road map for a driver assistance system, comprising an arrangement for storing in connection with the road map supplementary information concerning location- and/or time-specific compliance with traffic rules.
A data memory having program code means suitable for executing a method for assisting a driver in steering a vehicle, the method comprising:
- at least one of outputting information to the driver and influencing a control of the vehicle as a function of a driving situation and as a function of information from a road map and as a function of at least one item of supplementary information concerning location- and/or time-specific compliance with traffic rules.
