Abstract
Assembly for marking and cutting wires, comprising first cutting means (12), second cutting means (14) facing the first cutting means (12) and designed to cooperate with the first cutting means (12) for cutting a wire (11), the first cutting means (12) and the second cutting means (14) being designed to be moved in a direction (Y-Y) transverse to a direction (X-X) of feeding of the wire (11), wherein at least one of the first cutting means (12) and the second cutting means (14) comprises marking means (13, 15) configured to mark the wire (11). A machine for marking and cutting wires and a method of marking and cutting wires are also provided.
Claims10
Assembly for marking and cutting wires, comprising
- first cutting means;
- second cutting means facing the first cutting means and designed to cooperate with said first cutting means for cutting a wire;
- said first cutting means and said second cutting means being designed to be moved in a direction transverse to a wire feeding direction for cutting the wire;
- characterized in that at least one of said first cutting means and said second cutting means comprises marking means configured to mark the wire.
Method for marking and cutting wires by using an assembly comprising first cutting means and second cutting means facing said first cutting means and designed to cooperate with said first cutting means for cutting a wire, said first and second cutting means comprising marking means and being designed to be moved in a direction transverse to a wire feeding direction, said method comprising the following steps:
- a step for feeding the wire wherein the wire wherein the wire is positioned between the first cutting means and the second cutting means on the wire feeding axis;
- a step for stopping the wire wherein wire feeding is interrupted when the wire has reached a predetermined length;
- a step for advancing the cutting means wherein the first cutting means are advanced in the direction transverse to the wire feeding direction until they come into contact with the wire;
- a step for cutting the wire wherein the first cutting means continue their movement in the direction transverse to the direction of feeding of the wire, cutting the wire and moving the second cutting means along with them;
- a marking step wherein the marking means mark the wire.
