Abstract

Roller pairs (1, 1′) for processing a product, containing two grinding rollers (1; 1′), wherein at least one roller (1; 1′) contains at least one sensor (2; 2′) for obtaining measured values that characterize a state of at least one of the rollers (1; 1′), in particular a state of a circumferential surface (3, 3′). The sensor (2; 2′) has a data connection to a data transmitter (4; 4′) designed to transmit the measured values to a data receiver (5; 5′) in an contact-free manner. The invention also relates to a measuring device (12′) for insertion into a receiving opening (11′) of a roller body (10′) of a roller of a roller pair, a product-processing installation, in particular a grinding installation (18; 18′) containing at least one roller pair (1, 1′), a method of operating a product-processing installation, and a method of converting and/or upgrading at least one roller body.
