Filter element, method for manufacturing and use thereof

Filter element for solid-liquid filtering, the filter element comprising:

• at least one filtering portion made of a solid-liquid filter fabric;
• at least one flow opening;
• and
• at least one support element, which is a separately formed piece fastened to the filter element,
• wherein:
• the support element is a plate-like piece made of a polymer plate, whereby it differs from the fabric structure;
• the support element is of at least one of polypropylene or polyurethane;
• and
• the support element is permanently fastened to the solid-liquid filter fabric of the filter element by via stitches.

A method for manufacturing a filter element, the method comprising the steps of:

• forming a filter element of a solid-liquid filter fabric;
• forming a support element;
• fastening the support element to the filter element;
• forming the support element of a polymer plate material, whereby the support element differs from the fabric structure;
• using at least one of polypropylene or polyurethane as the polymer plate material of the support element;
• fastening the support element to the filter element in advance, before the filter element is mounted to the filtering device;
• arranging the side surface of the plate-like support element against the side surface of the solid-liquid filter fabric;
• and
• fastening said side surfaces together via stitches.
