Abstract
A particle/cell separation device is described which is particularly adapted for neutrophil depletion from a preparation of whole blood or platelet-rich plasma. Also described are blood and platelet rich plasma compositions produced using the device which are neutrophil-depleted.

1-17. (canceled)
A cell separation device for producing neutrophil-depleted platelet-rich plasma with centrifugation, said device comprising:
- an inlet portion comprising an inlet port for receiving a sample of whole blood;
- a separation chamber adapted to separate platelet-rich plasma from other components of the whole blood based on differences in specific gravity;
- a flow path for the platelet-rich plasma comprising an area of constriction adapted to remove neutrophils from the platelet rich plasma;
- and
- an outlet portion comprising a collection port in fluid communication with the separation chamber for removing neutrophil-depleted platelet-rich plasma.

A kit for treating damaged tissue comprising:
- (i) a syringe for withdrawing blood from a patient;
- (ii) a centrifuge device to obtain neutrophil-depleted platelet-rich plasma;
- the centrifuge device comprising:
- an inlet portion comprising an inlet port for receiving a sample of blood;
- a separation chamber adapted to separate platelet-rich plasma from other components of the blood based on differences in specific gravity;
- a flow path for the platelet-rich plasma comprising an area of constriction adapted to remove neutrophils from the platelet rich plasma;
- and
- an outlet portion comprising a collection port in fluid communication with the separation chamber for removing neutrophil-depleted platelet-rich plasma;
- and
- (iii) a syringe for subcutaneous delivery of the neutrophil-depleted platelet-rich plasma to the damaged tissue.
