Abstract
Disclosed is an occlusion device for use in a body lumen such as the left atrial appendage. The occlusion device includes an occlusion member and may also include a stabilizing member. The stabilizing member inhibits compression of the left atrial appendage, facilitating tissue in-growth onto the occlusion member. Methods are also disclosed.

(canceled)
A containment device for positioning at a left atrial appendage comprising:
- a proximal end, a proximal portion, a distal end, a distal portion, an intermediate portion between the proximal end and the distal end, and a longitudinal axis extending therethrough;
- a proximal hub;
- a one-piece frame having a proximal end, a proximal portion, a distal portion, an intermediate portion between the proximal portion and the distal portion, and a distal end and,
- wherein the proximal end of the one-piece frame is fixedly attached to the proximal hub;
- and
- a membrane or mesh covering the proximal portion and at least a portion of the intermediate portion,
- wherein the proximal hub is located near a center of the containment device and includes a detachment mechanism configured and adapted to releasably mate with a delivery catheter or a push rod associated with a delivery catheter, and
- wherein the one-piece frame includes a plurality of struts defining a plurality of fenestrations at least some of which extend from the proximal hub to the intermediate portion.
