Abstract
Articles of clothing, such as heated articles of clothing, and devices including a micro-generator are described herein. In some embodiments, the article of clothing may include a micro-generator attached to the article of clothing. The article of clothing may also include at least one heating element that may be coupled to the micro-generator and may be integrated within the article of clothing.
Claims47
An article of clothing, comprising:
- a micro-generator attached to the article of clothing;
- and
- at least one heating element coupled to the micro-generator and integrated within the article of clothing.
A wearable heating device, comprising:
- a wearable article comprising a material;
- a three-phase micro-generator attached to a first region of the material, the three-phase micro-generator comprising:
- a housing;
- a set of gears located within the housing;
- and
- a micro-alternator coupled to the set of gears;
- and
- at least one heating element integrated within the wearable article and coupled to the three-phase micro-generator, wherein the wearable article is heated by energy produced by the three-phase micro-generator in response to rotation of the set of gears.

A heated article of clothing, comprising:
- a housing for a micro-generator;
- a piece of wearable fabric, wherein the housing is located on a first side of the wearable fabric in a first region of the wearable fabric;
- an arm coupled to the micro-generator and extending through an opening in the housing, the arm being located on the first side of the wearable fabric in the first region;
- and
- a plurality of heating elements integrated into the piece of wearable fabric such that the piece of wearable fabric can be heated by energy generated by the micro-generator.

A manually heatable glove, comprising:
- a glove;
- a housing comprising a rotating arm, the housing located along a wrist portion of the glove;
- a micro-generator stored within the housing and comprising a set of gears coupled to the rotating arm;
- an insert integrated into the glove and located along the wrist portion and at least a portion of a thumb portion of the glove;
- and
- at least one conductive element integrated into the glove, wherein the at least one conductive element receives energy from the micro-generator to produce heat in the glove.
