Concept for transmitting and/or receiving data packets for a system for detecting an event, corresponding to an object crossing over a monitored line

A receiver for a system for detecting an event corresponding to an object crossing a monitored line,

• wherein the receiver being is configured to receive successive data packets such that independently of the occurrence of the event, each of the data packets comprising a piece of information on a number of events which occurred up to a transmission time of the data packet,
• wherein the transmission times of successive data packets are each located in a predetermined transmission time window.

A method for transmitting data packets for a system for detecting an event corresponding to a an object crossing a monitored line, comprising:

• generating successive data packets such that each of the data packets comprises a piece of information on a number of events which occurred up to a transmission time, of the data packet,
• transmitting successive data packets independently of an occurrence of the event such that transmission times of successive data packets are each located in a predetermined transmission time window.

A method for transmitting data packets for a system for detecting an event corresponding to an object crossing a monitored line, comprising:

• receiving successive data packets independently of the occurrence of the event, whose transmission times are each located in a predetermined transmission time window,
• reading out the data packets, wherein each of the data packets comprises a piece of information on a number of events which occurred up to a transmission time of the data packet.
