Abstract
An information processing apparatus includes a management unit configured to manage configuration information indicating a device configuration of the information processing apparatus, a receiving unit configured to receive setting information to be used by the information processing apparatus to perform an operation, from a server, and a control unit configured to control, in a case where setting information stored in the information processing apparatus is updated by using the received setting information, whether to execute processing for causing the information processing apparatus to reflect the update of the setting information, based on a type of the setting information to be updated and the configuration information.

An information processing apparatus comprising:
- a management unit configured to manage configuration information indicating a device configuration of the information processing apparatus;
- a receiving unit configured to receive setting information to be used by the information processing apparatus to perform an operation, from a server;
- and
- a control unit configured to control, in a case where setting information stored in the information processing apparatus is updated by using the received setting information, whether to cause a display unit to produce display prompting execution of reboot processing that causes the information processing apparatus to reflect the update of the setting information, based on a type of the setting information to be updated and the configuration information.
An information processing apparatus comprising:
- a management unit configured to manage configuration information indicating a device configuration of the information processing apparatus;
- a receiving unit configured to receive setting information to be used by the information processing apparatus to perform an operation, from a server;
- and
- a control unit configured to control, in a case where setting information stored in the information processing apparatus is updated by using the received setting information, whether to execute reboot processing that causes the information processing apparatus to reflect the update of the setting information, based on a type of the setting information to be updated and the configuration information.
A system including a server and an information processing apparatus, the system comprising:
- a management unit configured to manage configuration information indicating a device configuration of the information processing apparatus;
- a receiving unit configured to receive setting information to be used by the information processing apparatus to perform an operation, from a server;
- and

A computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a computer to execute a control method, the control method comprising:
- managing configuration information indicating a device configuration of the computer;
- receiving setting information to be used by the computer to perform an operation, from a server;
- and
