Responsive line display

An apparatus for displaying line charts, the apparatus comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• one or more stored sequences of instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
• receive a request to display a line chart on a display screen of a mobile computing system, the line chart having connected line segments;
• determine density of information to be displayed with the line chart;
• determine available screen space on the display screen of the mobile computing system;
• and
• display the line chart with thickness of line segments of the line chart corresponding to the determined density of information and the determined available screen space on the display screen of the mobile computing system.

A machine-readable medium carrying one or more sequences of instructions for display line charts, which instructions, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:

• receive a request to display a line chart on a screen of a mobile computing system, the line chart having connected line segments;
• determine density of information to be displayed with the line chart;
• and
• display, on the display screen of the mobile computing system, the line chart with thickness of line segments of the line chart corresponding to the determined density of information.
