A smart credit card. The credit card includes a power source, a memory, a processor, a logic, a magnetically readable strip, an identity sensor comprising at least one fingerprint reader on the front and rear of the card, and a capacitive display screen. The user stores identity information on the memory. The credit card is activated via the identity sensor. The identity sensor receives user identification information and the credit card activates after the logic confirms an identity match with the stored identity information. Upon activation, the user may use the credit card to initiate a transaction. The same credit card then enables the user to approve or cancel the transaction. The user approves the transaction by inputting a PIN or signing his or her name on the capacitive display screen. The credit card completes the transaction after authenticating the PIN or the user's signature through a security check.
