Abstract
Multi-touch groupings of characters are detected for device authentication and access. In an embodiment, one or more non-character based factors are used in combination with an inputted authentication code (character based) for device authentication and access.
Claims20

- obtaining, by a device, multiple inputs associated with an access code, wherein at least one of the inputs is a single multi-touch input comprised of multiple simultaneously pressed characters;
- and
- authenticating the multiple inputs to determine whether access is to be granted or denied.
A method, comprising:
- receiving, by a device, at least one multi-touch input as a portion of an access code;
- obtaining a factor determined by a user-operated device as a second portion of the access code, wherein the factor is non-character based;
- and
- authenticating, by the device, an access request for access to the user-operated device based on the portion and the second portion.
1 more element
