Abstract
An Internet-based disease monitoring system may include a network-based disease sensor device, which is coupled to a sensor, such as a spirometer. A remote server may be coupled to the network-based disease sensor device to provide analysis of input signals from the sensor. The remote server may be able to provide various services for grouping or handling functions relating to such input signals. A service may provide the ability to aggregate input signals from multiple sensors coupled to sensor devices and provide predictive modeling or statistical analysis, which may then be used to adjust future input signals. A service may also contain instructions how to handle billing based on usage of the network-based disease sensor device.
Claims20
A computer operable method for a network-based disease sensor device comprising:
- sending a sensor device identifier, wherein the sensor device identifier is uniquely associated with a sensor device;
- receiving a patient identifier;
- receiving device settings for configuring the sensor device for a patient;
- receiving calibration settings for configuring the sensor device to adjust input signals from a sensor;
- performing a test of the sensor device, wherein the sensor device obtains input signals responsive to a patient condition from the sensor;
- sending the input signals;
- and
- receiving a status message indicating whether the sensor device is properly configured.
A computer operable method for a network-based disease sensor device comprising:
- receiving a sensor device identifier, wherein the sensor device identifier is uniquely associated with a sensor device;
- determining a patient identifier to use with the sensor device identifier;
- generating device settings for configuring the sensor device for a patient;
- sending the patient identifier and device settings;
- determining calibration settings for configuring the sensor device to adjust input signals from a sensor coupled to the sensor device;
- sending the calibration settings;
- receiving input signals responsive to a patient condition from the sensor;
- and
- sending a status message indicating whether the sensor device is properly configured.
A system for operating a network-based disease sensor device, comprising:
- a database component for storing information relating to a sensor device;
- a network component for communicating with the sensor device;
- an analytic component capable of analyzing input signals from a sensor coupled to the sensor device;
- and
- a services component capable of determining one or more services that contains the sensor device as a member of the one or more services.
