Abstract
A web editing application provides a user interface for editing a web page on a mobile client device. The web editing application provides templates for user selection, and may allow users to edit web pages while the editing device is offline. The web editing application determines whether a display of the client device is in landscape mode or portrait mode, and arranges certain cells differently based on this determination. The web editing application may further provide cell configuration indicators that indicate cells that are arranged differently in different display modes.

A computer program product comprising instructions for providing a user interface for creating and editing a web page on a client device having a processor, the instructions when executed causing the processor to:
- receive a request to create a web page from a user of the client device;
- provide, for viewing on a display of the client device, a user interface for selecting a web page template, the user interface comprising a plurality of web page templates for selection by the user;
- receive a user selection of one of the plurality of web page templates;
- provide a user interface for editing the web page, the user interface including a preview of the web page;
- and
- receive edits to the web page via the user interface for editing the web page.
A method for providing a user interface for creating and editing a web page, comprising:
- receiving a request to create a web page from a user of the client device;
- providing, for viewing on a display of the client device, a user interface for selecting a web page template, the user interface comprising a plurality of web page templates for selection by the user;
- receiving a user selection of one of the plurality of web page templates;
- providing a user interface for editing the web page, the user interface including a preview of the web page;
- and
- receiving edits to the web page via the user interface for editing the web page.
A system for providing a user interface for creating and editing a web page, comprising:
- a computer processor;
- and
- a computer-readable storage medium storing processor-executable computer program instructions, the computer program instructions comprising instructions for:
- receiving a request to create a web page from a user of the client device;
- providing, for viewing on a display of the client device, a user interface for selecting a web page template, the user interface comprising a plurality of web page templates for selection by the user;
- receiving a user selection of one of the plurality of web page templates;
- providing a user interface for editing the web page, the user interface including a preview of the web page;
- and
- receiving edits to the web page via the user interface for editing the web page.
