Abstract
A method for testing platelet function, wherein platelet function is tested by allowing anticoagulated blood, to which a weak platelet-activating reagent has been mixed, to pass through a capillary having a platelet-adhesive surface on at least a part of its inner surface, and observing or measuring the behavior of the blood in the capillary.

A method for testing platelet function comprising allowing anticoagulated blood to pass through a capillary having a platelet-adhesive surface on at least a part of its inner surface and a section provided in at least a part of the capillary, said section having walls which extend within the capillary along the direction of the blood flow in the capillary and divide the width of the capillary into a plurality of non-intersecting channels within the capillary, and observing or measuring the behavior of the blood in the capillary to test platelet function.
