Abstract
The present invention relates to methods for the site-specific immobilization of DNA origami structures on solid substrates, as well as to respective assemblies comprising DNA origami structures immobilized on a solid substrate and uses thereof.
Claims15
A method for the site-specific immobilization of DNA origami structures on a solid substrate, said method comprising the steps of:
- (a) providing at least one type of DNA origami structure having at least one type of first structural feature;
- (b) providing a pre-patterned solid substrate that is functionalized with at least one type of a second structural feature, wherein the second structural feature is capable of binding to the first structural feature on the DNA origami structure;
- and
- (c) incubating the solid substrate of step (b) with the at least one type of DNA origami structure of step (a).

An assembly comprising:
- (i) at least one type of DNA origami structure;
- and
- (ii) a solid substrate;
- wherein the DNA origami structure has at least one type of first structural feature;
- the solid substrate is a pre-patterned solid substrate that is functionalized with at least one type of a second structural feature;
- and the second structural feature is bound to the first structural feature on the DNA origami structure.
