Abstract
The medical system inflation syringe of the present invention enables a fluid communication selective interconnection of a male connector with a subset of certain female connectors, while preventing interconnection of said male connector with other subsets of female connectors, for the purpose of providing secure interconnection to achieve fluid (including gas or air) communication only with medical systems with which the inflation syringe is intended to be interconnected.
Claims19
A medical system inflation syringe that includes at least a plunger and a barrel wherein:
- the barrel further includes at least a proximal opening, a lumen, and a male connection means;
- the male connection means enables fluid communication selective interconnectability to other medical systems or devices, and further includes at least a nozzle and a vent;
- and
- the nozzle further includes at least a nozzle lumen, a distal opening, and outside diameters along its length smaller than specified in the ISO 594 Luer standards.
A medical system inflation syringe that enables fluid communication selective interconnectability to other medical systems or devices, which includes at least:
- a barrel and a plunger;
- the barrel further including at least a nozzle having a lumen and a distal opening;
- and
- a vent;
- wherein
- the nozzle has outside diameters along its length smaller than specified in the ISO 594 Luer standards.
A medical system inflation syringe male connection means to enable fluid communication selective interconnectability to other medical systems or devices, which comprises at least a nozzle having a lumen and distal opening wherein the nozzle more particularly has outside diameters along its length smaller than specified in the ISO 594 Luer standards.
