Abstract
Described herein is a copolymer membrane and a chemofiltration catheter incorporating the membrane for use in transarterial chemoembolization.
Claims20
A membrane comprising a copolymer, the membrane having a doxorubicin binding capacity of at least 2.5 mmol doxorubicin per gram of dry weight of the membrane.
A catheter comprising:
- a tubular housing;
- a frame disposed at a proximal end of the tubular housing, wherein the frame is expandable to switch between a collapsed state and a deployed state;
- and
- a membrane affixed to the frame, the membrane comprising a sulfonated copolymer.
1 more element
A method comprising:
- producing a sulfonated copolymer composition;
- forming a membrane from the sulfonated copolymer composition;
- affixing the membrane to a frame, wherein the frame is expandable to switch between a collapsed state and a deployed state;
- and
- coupling the membrane to a catheter via the frame.
