Self-Adherent Implants and Methods of Preparation

A dispenser for activating packaged implants, said packaged implants having a first cavity containing a medical adhesive, a second cavity configured to contain a surgical mesh and a rupturable barrier therebetween, said packaged implants being activated by the rupture of said rupturable barrier by said dispenser comprising:

• a compartment for containing said packaged implant, said compartment including a dispensing opening and a structure for rupturing said rupturable barrier.

A dispenser for activating a packaged implant, said dispenser comprising:

• a compartment for containing a packaged implant, the compartment including a dispensing opening and a structure for rupturing a rupturable barrier, the packaged implant including a medical adhesive and a surgical mesh contained within a peelable package, wherein the peelable package has a top layer and a bottom layer which together form a sealed perimeter of the peelable package, a first cavity defined by the top and bottom layers and containing the medical adhesive, a second cavity defined within the sealed perimeter of the peelable package and containing the surgical mesh, and a rupturable barrier positioned between the first and second cavity.
