Abstract
The invention provides seed and plants of spinach hybrid SV4333VC and the parent lines thereof. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of spinach hybrid SV4333VC and the parent lines thereof, and to methods for producing a spinach plant produced by crossing such plants with themselves or with another spinach plant, such as a plant of another genotype. The invention further relates to seeds and plants produced by such crossing. The invention further relates to parts of such plants, including the leaf and gametes of such plants.

A spinach plant comprising at least a first set of the chromosomes of spinach line SEBS011-1163F, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-121666.
A seed comprising at least a first set of the chromosomes of spinach line SEBS011-1163F, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-121666.
A method of introducing a desired trait into a spinach line comprising:
- (a) crossing a plant of line SEBS011-1163F with a second spinach plant that comprises a desired trait to produce F1 progeny, a sample of seed of said line having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-121666;
- (b) selecting an F1 progeny that comprises the desired trait;
- (c) backcrossing the selected F1 progeny with a plant of line SEBS011-1163F to produce backcross progeny;
- (d) selecting backcross progeny comprising the desired trait and the physiological and morphological characteristic of spinach line SEBS011-1163F;
- and
- (e) repeating steps (c) and (d) three or more times to produce selected fourth or higher backcross progeny that comprise the desired trait.
A method of producing a spinach plant comprising an added trait, the method comprising introducing a transgene conferring the trait into a plant of spinach hybrid SV4333VC, or spinach line SEBS011-1163F, a sample of seed of said hybrid and line having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-121665, and ATCC Accession Number PTA-121666, respectively.
A method for producing a seed of a spinach plant derived from at least one of spinach hybrid SV4333VC, or spinach line SEBS011-1163F comprising the steps of:
- (a) crossing a spinach plant of hybrid SV4333VC, or line SEBS011-1163F with itself or a second spinach plant;
- a sample of seed of said hybrid and line having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-121665, and ATCC Accession Number PTA-121666, respectively;
- and
- (b) allowing seed of a hybrid SV4333VC, or line SEBS011-1163F-derived spinach plant to form.
