Abstract
A method for manufacturing a display device, including providing a first substrate and a second substrate; forming a display panel, forming the display panel including injecting a liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal molecules between the first substrate and the second substrate; bending the display panel to a predetermined curvature to form a bent display panel; and forming an alignment layer so that directions in which the liquid crystal molecules are arranged in the liquid crystal layer of the bent display panel include a plurality of different domains.
Claims25
A method for manufacturing a display device, comprising:
- providing a first substrate and a second substrate;
- forming a display panel, forming the display panel including injecting a liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal molecules between the first substrate and the second substrate;
- bending the display panel to a predetermined curvature to form a bent display panel;
- and
- forming an alignment layer so that directions in which the liquid crystal molecules are arranged in the liquid crystal layer of the bent display panel include a plurality of different domains.
A display device, comprising:
- a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other;
- a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate and including liquid crystal molecules;
- and
- an alignment layer on surfaces of the first substrate and the second substrate,
- the display device being bent to a predetermined curvature and including a plurality of domains in which arranged directions of the liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer are different.
